    Xbox app pc and Minecraft launcher


    I have two xbox account signed in on one pc. One is for minecraft and the other is for other games. When I try to sign into my minecraft launcher with a microsoft account (Xbox), it shows up my main account and when I try to switch accounts it says 'The background task activation is spurious' . When I try to sign out of the xbox app and sign in as my other account it just instantly signs in my main account. Have tried uninstalling minecraft launcher didn't work. I uninstalled my xbox app and when I clicked the 'Not you? Switch accounts' option it just instantly signed in my main account.

    Can't play minecraft multiplayer after migrating to microsoft, but the privacy settings are enabled.

    I appreciate the update. Are you using the Minecraft Launcher from Microsoft Store/Xbox App? If yes, kindly repair the launcher then try again. Here you go:

    Settings > Apps & Features > Apps > Search for "Minecraft Launcher" > Advanced options > Repair > Restart your PC.

    Kindly restart your PC as well along with your router.

    Since you were able to check both Launcher and uninstall, reinstall the app multiple times. Kindly sign out on Xbox App, Microsoft Store App, and Minecraft Launcher then restart your PC before signing back in.

    On your launcher, make sure to use "Microsoft Login"

    Please check if you can access the game by following the steps I’m going to share below:

    -Download and open the Xbox app on your PC
    -Verify that you sign in the Xbox app and the Microsoft account with the account that you used to purchase Minecraft.
    -On the Xbox app, search for the Minecraft launcher once you click on Library and download it.

    Note: in case the Minecraft launcher doesn’t appear there, look for it and download it by clicking “Microsoft Store” on the Xbox app.

    -Once downloaded the Minecraft launcher, access with the account that owns the game and try launching Minecraft for Windows when the launcher downloads all the dependencies.

    That's perfect then. Kindly repair the Minecraft Launcher by following the steps below:

    Windows Settings > Apps & Features > Apps > Search for the launcher > Advanced Options > Repair > Restart your PC.

    If that didn't work, kindly uninstall and reinstall the Minecraft Launcher.
