Xbox app party chat screeching noise?

Whenever i join a party, my account makes a screeching noise that everyone else can hear. It does this even with my microphone muted. The only thing that stops it is unplugging my microphone. I have tested different microphones,
and they all cause the same effect. Any time i have a microphone plugged into my computer, it causes a constant screeching noise to everyone else. This does not happen on any other voice program; skype, discord, ect.

Party chat will only be available to live players. To chat with cross network gamers the app would probably need to implement some sort of voice or party function.

Here are steps on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:



1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.



2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.



3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage



4. Hit Enter.





Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

Method 1: Perform a clean boot, this helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10. Here is the link on

1. Yes i have done all of them multiple times

2. yes it is updated. i also tried the beta version of the app and that didn't fix it either.
