    Xbox app on Windows 10 laptop not working--exhausted all possible solutions, need help


    I downloaded the Xbox app off the Windows store not too long ago, in order to join the Ultimate Gamepass and play some tactical and strategy RPGs on my laptop, but haven't made much progress. And I've tried everything to fix whatever the possible issue is,
    but nothing seems to work.

    At first, it wouldn't let me download the Xbox app. So I did a quick search and it said to check if my computer was up to date with all its updates, and since I wasn't, I did go forward with downloading the necessary updates to be up to date. And the solved
    that one issue, which finally allowed me to install the application. So after I restarted my laptop and tried to purchase Gamepass through the Xbox app, but every time I click the link, the application suddenly crashes.

    With this issue now, I did uninstall and reinstall the application only for nothing to come out of it. Then I tried to
    repair and restart the app from the advanced settings, yet that didn't fix anything either. I did pretty much everything possible, and nothing's working.

    The second issue is that my games won't load either. I click on a game that I own prior, ReCore, and it crashes as well. Below is a video of the issues that I'm unable to fix. Please help me.

    This is broken on my laptop on:

    Windows 10 20H1

    Windows 10 20H2

    Windows 11 Stable

    Windows 11 Insider Preview (fast ring, 1 week ago)

    All on fresh clean installs.

    Same test run on a desktop machine on the same network works fine. Ethernet on Laptop does not fix it.

    It's got to be something gaming laptop specific, possibly GPU selection. Forcing the Xbox app to use either integrated or discretre graphics didn't work either though.

    Switching the GPU mode to "discrete graphics" on my Legion 5 didn't fix this either.

    Yes, it is possible, however you don't connect the Xbox directly to the laptop, instead you use the Xbox app on the windows 10

    I don't know what's happening with my computer so mine is more than just the Xbox PC app on my laptop it wont load Microsoft store, Cortana or a few other Microsoft apps.

    it all kinda started after my laptop went to windows 11, for a brief while there on windows 10 all the apps were working but instantly after the update nothing worked. i got the laptop a few days ago so it shouldn't have these issues.

    note: changing back to windows 10 did nothing

    Running cloud gaming on TVs other than Samsung

    If you've got a laptop, connect that to the TV and run the Xbox cloud gaming via the Xbox App or via a browser. Perhaps not the perfect solution, but you don't need a powerful gaming machine, all of the processing is done server side. Pretty much any Windows 10 PC can run Xbox Cloud.
