Xbox app on Windows 10 installing games I previously uninstalled without permission

Been a while as I had to try your advice and wait to see if it worked. I installed windows 11 a day after you originally posed this reply and was using it for two weeks but stopped as my computer would constantly run at 80 degrees Celsius even in idle, throughout this time Doom Eternal stayed uninstalled but due to the previous problem I had to revert to windows 10 as all fixes for windows 11 did not work and some of my apps became less efficient. Since then Doom eternal did not reinstall until today. No fixes work and I have the latest version of everything. I will probably just keep deleting it as it keeps it away for a month or two at a time. I assume it is something in the windows 10 code which is telling the Xbox app to reinstall the game but I have no way of confirming this. Thank you for your help and I might try the windows 11 thing again eventually when there is not a energy crisis but for now I will just keep this game installed as it more of just a annoyance than anything, did not even like the game but might as well complete it

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

Do you have any third party antivirus software installed on the computer? If so try disabling it and then try the download again.
