    Xbox App on Windows 10 crashes immediately when selecting Game DVR


    So I've been on windows 10 and using the xbox app for a while and it was working fine, but recently whenever I try to use the Game DVR function within the windows 10 xbox app it just crashes the whole program. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've reinstalled
    my graphics drivers etc but no joy.

    Help !

    Hello, I'm unable to upload and share edited Game DVR clips in the Xbox App on Windows 10 to Xbox Live. App crashes each time 99 % of the clip is uploaded.

    xbox app crashes windows 10 after clicking Game DVR

    Every time I open up the Xbox app, it launches fine. Every time, without fail, I attempt to switch to the Game DVR tab, the app immediately crashes and closes. This is a pattern in many other windows 10 apps on my computer, but I'm most concerned with this
    particular pattern, for it happens every time I try.

    Solution

    Open Chrome

    Press Windows + G to bring up Game Bar or select Game Bar from Start Menu

    Go to settings in Game Bar

    Unselect "remember this is a game"

    Go back to the my games list on Xbox App and Chrome will be removed

    Not sure related or unrelated but Amazon Prime Video on Chrome would crash in full screen mode when Chrome viewed as a game. But now it doesn't crash. Again, not sure if it was related or just a coincidence.

    Does anyone know how to edit video and put it back on your xbox one?

    From the Game DVR screen within the Xbox app, you can access and edit all game clips recorded on Windows 10, as well as clips shared from your Xbox One. Editing in the Xbox app is restricted to Trim at this time. For more info:
