Xbox app on two seperate Windows machines keeps closing down right after opening

Can anyone from support PLEASE confirm how many apps the xbox one should keep open at once.

Just to clarify, i dont mean snap mode, with two apps side by side, but the machines ability to have multiple apps open at once.

I have a suspicion my console is not functioning correctly as i can only reliably have two apps open at once, the others close down.

Close the Xbox app and Microsoft Store.

Type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, right-click and run as administrator, wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically, download any app from the store (you can delete the app later), after downloading the app try to play again.

Thank you for the welcome and for the confirmation that it is possible to install on multiple devices. Knowing this is very helpful. I have followed your advice and signed out of the Xbox Live App on my one machine, and then even turned the machine off after
logging out. I then logged on to my 2nd machine, loaded the Xbox Live App and started the Forza Horizons 4 game. The same result unfortunately. The game hangs on the opening screen, and then after around 2 minutes just closes the window.

Any other ideas?

Try the solution below, please.

Click search and type in Services, open it.

Scroll down until you find an entry called "IP Helper", right-click it, then click restart.

Scroll all the way down to the bottom and do the same thing for "Xbox Live Networking Service"

Close the window, open the Xbox app and check your connection again.

Follow these steps:

1. Press Win+i -> Accounts -> Login with local account -> Confirm and close the window.

2. Press Win+R and type the command wsreset and press Enter.

3. Open the Microsoft Store -> Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen -> Download and updates -> Update all pending packages. Close the window.

4. Open Windows Update by pressing Win+i -> Update & Security -> Windows Update -> check for updates. Closes the panel after updates are complete.

5. Right-click on the Start Menu icon -> Apps and Resources -> you will double-click on the apps listed below -> advanced options -> Restore:

xbox

XBox Game Bar

xbox live

xbox companion

Close the window and restart your computer. Press Win+i again -> Accounts -> Sign in with Microsoft account -> Enter the same email and password credentials associated with GamePass -> Close the window, open the XBox app and try to run a game.
