Xbox app on pc sign-in struggles

Just trying to sign in on xbox app for pc and every time I try to sign in it gives me a json string error. I don't know what to do. I have tried going through task manger services, resetting the app,Powershell, system config, and signing out of the account completely.

I forgot to mention that this folder is hidden by default. Click on preview in the top panel and then on ''hidden items''.

Follow this path and don't worry if the folder has different characters.
C:\Users\[your profile]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker

Delete the Accounts and Cache folders, restart your PC and try again.

I do not have appdata under my profile, maybe that's where my issue resides. If so, how would I fix a problem like that?

I will check pc this evening I saw that there was no updates available and the xbox companion app stopped working on Saturday and I have seen other users have struggled as well

UPDATE:

So, I tried even more solutions online + all the ones listed here and nothing worked. So I left the Xbox PC app installed on my PC and forgot about it for a few weeks...

I come back to it randomly today with no hope and no faith, and there it is. I'm signed in. All my games appear. Happy days.

I have no idea what happened to fix this, but fixed it is. Sorry I can't offer any guidance to people still struggling with this!
