    Xbox app on PC is uninstall the game right.


    I just uninstalled Age of Empire 4 from game pass PC, The game is about 84 GB big, but after uninstallation, there are still about 30GB missing from the hard drive, when I try to install back the game, it still asks for the same 84 GB space.
    I tried to clean the temporary file from setting > storage, but it's not helping, what I should do now?

    It depends on if you're playing PC games through Gamepass PC. You can uninstall the Xbox apps by right clicking them and selecting uninstall.

    Let’s try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly delete all files in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache, and then reboot your pc.

    This will only rescan all your downloaded files in just a few minutes then check your game again.

    Right click the xbox icon on your pc and click uninstall.
    That doesn't work with the xbox app.

    The user who suggested uninstalling the Xbox Music app, rebooting, and then re-installing the app had the right idea. Seems the app database on my PC was corrupt.

    Hi, thanks for the response.

    Where did you mean to uninstall it? I've tried the following:

    • In the Xbox Game Pass for PC app, I've right-clicked on the game where it appears on the left hand side, and selected 'Uninstall Game'. This doesn't do anything - the game remains in the list on the left hand side, and if I click 'Install', I get the same
      issue.
    • I've tried going into Settings -> Apps and Features, to try and find the game in there to uninstall. The game does not appear in the list of installed apps, so I can't uninstall it here.
    • I've tried searching on the hard drive for any files with the game's name. Nothing here to delete.
    • I've uninstalled and re-installed the Xbox Game Pass for PC app. Same problem persists.
