XBox App Not working once IP address changed

The Xbox One app was working fine on my Windows 10 PC until recently. Due to an internal network change, the subnet changed, so the IP address on my XBox and my PC also changed. Now, when I launch the XBox app, it sees the XBox on the list of possible
connections, but will not connect to it. I also tried to connect manually with the IP address but the same issue. I do see the XBox as a connected device in the device list.

So I know the PC sees the XBox, I can also ping the XBox. So why won't they connect? No other settings have changed, just the IP address on the new subnet. I have manually configured the XBox IP address so it stays static, but also tried DHCP and that
didn't help.

I changed my IP address and it seems to be working. But I have a "strict nat" because for some reason its not letting me use DMZ on my xbox.

I cant stream my Xbox to my Windows 10 Xbox app anymore after an operating system update. I am able to turn on my XBOX using Xoon but when I go to the Windows 10 Xbox app, I would type in my public ip address and it would not recognize it. For a month, I
was able to do it with no problem but since my operating system updated it doesn't connect. My public ip address has not changed.

This is not an issue with my ISP, but with my local connections. Both the XBox and computer have proper Internet access. I am a certified MS network engineer so I do understand how to setup the local network. When you go into the XBox App on the Windows
10 PC, when you click "Connect to your xbox one" it does show my xbox as being available, but it will not connect. Could there be entries in the registry from the old network subnet? Are there entries I can remove to do a fresh connection?

 

If there are network changes on your router settings or your network hardware, you need reset the settings on Xbox One and the computer so you can start streaming your games normally again.

• What is the exact error message when you tried to connect the Xbox console to your computer?

• Is the console and the computer connected to a network with the same IP address?

You can also reset the settings by uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox App. Here's how:

1. Click start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.
3. Type the following command to uninstall Windows Store: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage
4. Hit Enter.
5. Launch Windows Store again and download Xbox App.

Is there a way to fully remove the xbox software from Windows 10 including the registry entries? This way I could reinstall and not worry about old settings hanging around. We have tried everything we can find and still no luck connecting the PC to the
XBox even though the PC sees the XBox is there.

 

In order to connect your Xbox to your computer, you have to make sure that both devices are connected to the same network with the same IP Address.

Xbox App is a built-in application for Windows 10 devices. To further troubleshoot your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Are there any error messages when connecting your Xbox console to your computer?
• Were you able to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox App?
• Have you tried to restart your router and your devices to refresh the connection?

 

I used Powershell to uninstall the xbox app and then reinstalled it. Still have the same issue.

We get the Add a device screen, it shows our xbox and I click connect. We then get We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device.

As usual, I can ping the xbox without a problem.

On your Xbox One, make sure that it allows SmartGlass connections.

1. Go to Settings, and then select Preferences.
2. Select Allow SmartGlass Connections.

Make sure that you don't share the same SSID (network name) for both your 2.4 GHz network and your 5 GHz Network.

We also recommend that you turn off and turn on your devices after changing the settings.

On the Xbox, Allow SmartGlass is turned on. The computer and Xbox are not on a wireless network, they are wired into a local network, both on the same subnet. I have also tried turning off the firewall and Kaspersky AV. Still have the same issue. The
PC sees the Xbox, can ping the Xbox, but can't connect to the Xbox.
