Xbox app not uninstalling and cancelling an installation

I did have it installed on an external drive, but when i started having the original crash issues i uninstalled it and wanted to install it on an internal hdd, but now there is absolutely no instance of Outriders installed on any drive, but when i click on the game in the gamepass app it shows me that it is 86% installed. I am completely confused by it, i have uninstalled both the windows store using powershell, and the xbox app itself. I have tried troubleshooting the apps, resetting them, uninstalling and reinstalling the apps themselves, yet still nothing.

When i click cancel download it tells me "this will uninstall the game" which is what i want, but then i click on outriders in the gamepass app store, and it comes up instantly as 86% installed again.

Is the game showing as installed if you go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features? If it is, please try to uninstall it from there.

If it is not there, try to cancel the download/installation from the Xbox app and try again. Are you able to do this? Or the game does not leave the queue when you try to cancel the installation?

Yes - as per my post. I use the media tool to create an iso file and then did a reinstall, keeping my files.

Doing that got everything working again for a few hours.

Unfortunately, most of the problems then recurred (unable to install or uninstall games from the xbox app, cannot cancel existing queued installs, cannot run most games on the xbox app).

Anyone? I've tried seemingly everything: uninstalled and reinstalled the app, changed the install drive, watched for error messages and all of the above... If this remains the case, I'll just cancel the subscription.
