    Xbox app not showing the correct profile despite being logged into the correct email on...


    The xbox app logs me in as a completely different account, one not associated with me and has zero games or anything on, despite being logged into the email I'm currently using on another pc. This is a brand new gaming laptop that I want to use, surprisingly, for gaming, but I can't do!

    I've fully updated the microsoft store, windows updates all completed and Terminated, Repaired and Reset the app and it still does the same thing! Even when it says 'not you? click here' and I do but it still insists on adding me as the other account.

    I will be trying to remove and reinstall the app next but I'm not holding much hope for it, so adding this to see if anyone else has the same issue when buying a new laptop and wanting stuff to move across seamlessly (hint, you won't!)

    Ok so you click the gamertag (the incorrect one) sign out. Press sign in. Enter your information.

    Then what happens? I literally just did this. Worked fine. Whats happening on your end?

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it came up with the same wrong profile but I was allowed to select the correct one and now it works! Very strange but can’t say I’m surprised 😆 at least if other folk have the same / similar issues they won’t be throwing their laptops out the window in frustrations 😆
