    Xbox app not receiving party invites?


    I have recently had an issue with the xbox app on windows 10 no longer allowing me to accept party invites. I have tested the Xbox app, the Xbox Console Companion, as well as as the Game Bar (windows key + G). There is no place that displays received invites
    for party chat nor does it give notification when receiving one. I have ensured notifications are allowed both through the app and through system settings, reset the app, reset the computer after making changes to the settings all to no avail.

    I have also found multiple other posts on this forum with users with the same problem. The most common answer I am finding from Microsoft is to lock the question with a statement "there is a new post about this" (absent any link or indication as to where
    to find the newest post). If you are unsure as to the cause, an upfront "We don't know what happened or how to fix it" would be appreciated, or a link to an answer. Thank you

    the Xbox app doesn't really support parties but support party chats. party chat is a message you send to your friends who want to join your party.

    here is how to work it. creat a party and located at the top is says invite select your friend who you want to invite they should receive a message all they have to do is click it and they will join.

    I noticed the same issue after a recent update to the app. There is simply no longer an option to receive party invite notifications in the notification settings of the app.
