Xbox App not launching

hi, i bought a lenovo edge 2 15.6" laptop from best buy. they shipped it to my house. i was very excited to try the xbox streaming but it did not work. i went and updated windows and my graphics drivers hoping it would fix the problem. it did not. i took
the computer to geek squad and they told me my only option was to exchange it. when i got home the xbox app worked immediately with no issues. then i updated windows and the intel graphics driver (because lenovo's default driver failed system tests).

when i tried the xbox app after all that, it was not working again. it closes just as fast as it opens. not sure if this is something to note, but i saw on my screen and others on youtube, when the app is opend (if its working properly that is) there are
some numbers up in the top right area of the green area of the loading screen.

those numbers donot apear on my screen before the app closes.

ive tried rolling back the graphics drivers, uninstalling the xbox app with powershell and reinstalling, and ive done system resets (both quick and "clean" versions) and nothing seems to fix it. i even had geek squad remotely trying to fix the problem for about
4.5 hours.

YouTube app not launching

Just talked with my son and he said it worked for him until an Xbox update occurred. Then we got into this state. So from the sounds of it an update caused this for me. Still doesn't provide a fix but more context.

I have had this problem since I got my Xbox One. All my 360 machines work just fine. So it is not a network problem. Something with the app itself...

 

i been lookinf at the Lenovo forums for help but no luck .. the first post i made registers in my profile but not on the thread i made it on. so i had to do it again today.

have you had any luck elsewhere with this issue? i'm wanting to get SOT when i comes out but i don't want this issue to block me from playing the game.

I got my Edge from BestBuy. Initially, the Xbox App had worked but not all that comes up is the green screen and the window closes. i've tried removing the App then reinstalling it. and i found the Lenovo thread i mentioned earlier, did that yet got the
"roll back isn't capable" message. and i dont want to do the rollback thing myself because i'm not a techie.
