Xbox app not installing base game but installs all DLC (PC)

My D drive is a secondary internal SSD, not an external one. Also, you can see here that any other game for example Forza horizon 5 will install just fine on my D drive:



What I am thinking is something in the WindowsApps folder has gone wrong. There is no way to delete or modify this folder though or even open it.

That message informs you that where you are installing Forza 4 on the D drive, it's not supported and instead will default to your main drive and the Windows apps installed in your primary hard drive. That D: drive was it formatted as NTFS? All drives that a user wants to use to install games via the PC Game Pass app must ensure the drive is formatted correctly. Below I have provided some additional recommended solutions.

Solution 1: How to format a USB flash drive or external storage device to NTFS on Windows
Formatting to NTFS is also required for backing up games and captures on external storage devices connected to Windows PCs.

Solution 2: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Sometimes corrupted files can cause issues.

Solution 3: Create a local user or administrator account in Windows . Sometimes you can have a situation with permissions or profile corruption. Please follow the steps in this link to see if that fixes the current issue you are having.

May we know if you have been part of Xbox Insider or Windows Insider?

Sometimes, installation or downloads are hindered by the antivirus, antimalware, VPN and PC Optimizers. Can you please try to install the game and have these 3rd party apps disable?

May we know if you can try to install the game on Drive C or local storage and check if the issue persist.

Hi. I've uploaded a screen recording to youtube in order for you to understand what I'm dealing with: https://youtu.be/c3utYB6GnFo I have also noticed that in the Xbox app, the bar on the left shows all the games I own which is asphalt 9, Microsoft solitaire collection and Minecraft. the thing is, is that Forza Horizon 4 is not there. I specifically remember it always being there. It is as if it thinks I don't own the game or something. Thanks.
