    Whenever I try to download the xbox app on windows 10, its works for a bit, then the progress bar stops, and the launcher crashes with the attached message. I tried to download it off the microsoft store (it never started and the store froze) and online (where it freezes and crashes after a couple minutes)

    I am not sure how to fix this.

    Which beta app are you having issue downloading? The Xbox Console Companion App (Beta) or the Xbox Game Pass for PC app (Beta)? You'll need to have he beta companion app downloaded first before you can download the PC game pass app (beta) and you will also
    need to have Windows update version 1903.

    Restart your PC and then make sure you have the requirements to download the PC game pass app.

    download the xbox app and sign in with your account that has gamepass pc, then download the games from gamepass pc.

    Just like to point out that the Xbox app for PC is not required for Play Anywhere titles. All of those games can be downloaded from the Windows Store.
