Xbox App Not Detecting Controller

But it does not support it, your xbox app detects 2 controllers but will NOT give the option for splitscreen.

HELP! my controller seems to be able to connect to my computer via usb cable and the wireless adapter but the Xbox accessories app is unable to detect a controller. When I first connected the controller via wireless adapter, it was able to detect it and
there were some driver updates, but it disconnected halfway through and after many retries, I have yet to be able to make Xbox Accessories detect controller.

Hi AvocadoDrago! It sounds like you are having Xbox controller connectivity issues within the Xbox app.

Please make sure that your computer is updated to the most recent Windows update and install all optional updates. Please make sure that the Xbox Accessories app on your computer is updated as well. You can do this by opening the Microsoft Store, selecting the three horizontal dots in the top left corner (…), selecting “Downloads and updates”, and then by selecting “Get updates”. If you do not have the Xbox Accessories app downloaded on your computer, you can find and download it through the Microsoft Store.

Once the Xbox Accessories app is downloaded, launch the app, and connect the controller to your PC. It’s best to do this manually using a cable, preferably an Xbox-specific cable. Once connected, you should see your controller show up as a device within the app. Select the three horizontal dots (…) under your controller image, and then select “Update now” if available. Keep your controller connected as the update completes.

Additionally, please try using the controller while wired within the Xbox app instead of wireless.

I have downloaded the Xbox Accessories app but the controller doesn't show up and I'm using a PS4 controller. My steam and DS4 software does detects the controller and my other applications as well as such Gog, Uplay, Epic Launcher, Battle.Net, EA Play, and etc. I don't understand why when playing the game via Clould Gaming it does detects the controller but when downloading the game on the PC the gamepass doesn't detects the controller!

It just happened to my Xbox One controller!

The Xbox Accessories app is a lot newer and it can't detect it since it got in DFU mode!

Please, help!
