Xbox app not detecting console

Hi,

Here's my issue : my xbox app on my desktop computer doesn't detect my xbox one automatically, and when I manually type my xbox's ip address, it says 'no xbox one was found at this address'.

My Xbox's settings are fine, as I can connect to it with my laptop. And my Xbox and my desktop computers are both connected via ethenet to the same router. I can ping my xbox with my desk computer, and I see the xbox in the network tab of the file explorer,
so they're obviously on the same local network. So, how can I get the xbox app to recognize my console ?

xbox not detecting ethernet cable

my xbox is not detecting my ethernet cable. everytime i click wired connection it says: for wired connection an ethernet cablbe needs to be pulged in at the console and router or modem. my connnection worked before, now suddenly it stopped working. i tested
the cable on my computer and it works, the xbox is just not detecting it.

 

Xbox one does not detect my wireless network, or any network.

So my xbox one is not detecting any wireless network, i have to restart the console then it finds it for like 10 minutes and looses it again.

 

FIXED ! I installed smartglass because I thought the xbox might rely on it to connect to my console. As I had an error trying to install smartglass, I found out that I had to adjust my date and time in order to be able to install the app, so I did. Then,
I started smartglass, which immediatly detected my xbox, and then the xbox app, which did so. I don't think that's the installation of the smartglass app that fixed my issue though, it's probably the date/time settings.

 

Fixed ! date/time adjustment resolved the issue.

 

I am having this similar issue and am on a college campus wifi. my ip isnt being recognized by my smartglass app and i am trying to connect it to stream games.

 

Why did you have to change the time?? I'm having the same problem and don't know how to resolve it . And I want to know what to do with the time and date . Plz reply!!!!
