Xbox app no longer sees xbox while in instant on, preview program app not working at all. Both ...

So, I can no longer turn the xbox on from phone or tab bc it just won't find my console. Nothing has changed on my end. I can see and turn on my PS4 with their pointless app. So it's not my network. Once xbox is on via controller or cortana, my app.willi
see it and connect. soooo...something is turning off on xbox wifi even when it's in instant on mode. Please fix soon. Second, I would love to report this problem directly from said xbox, but the preview dashboard no longer works at all. Have tried uninstalling
and reinstalling apps for both of these issues. Nothing works. Preview app and reporting tool are effectively worthless at this point. Please fix soon.

Im in the same boat. In the preview program, still have the app, and have instant updates on too. Going to try a hard reset after work, hopefully that'll push it through.

 

New dashboard question

so I have two Xbox ones in my house, mine and my sons
I am in the preview program only and my son is not in any programs
He turned his Xbox on today to see an update which was strange since we both have instant on
He now has the new dashboard and I'm on the original one
How did his Xbox one get update when he isn't in any preview programs? And why is making be not update?

If you get a message that states that the group cannot be found PM a mod so they can grant you access to those parts of the forums.

And if want an invitation to the program you will have to go through 3 steps,

1) Be invited

2) Be accepted

3) Enroll

(Note being accepted can take up to months before actually getting into the program and there is no guarantees and if you have any 'recent' enforcement action on your account can restrict access to the program. But if your enforcement action was a year ago
then your set and authorized to join the program.)

Ok. I am already in the preview program. Can a mod move this discussion there please? II am saying that the app for the preview dashboard just crashes, doesn't open. This is apparently a known issue. Regarding not seeing my console from the Xbox Android
app, I seen to have discovered something. I think it has something to do with some kind of account check. When I manually enter IP for xbox, it still doesn't find. However when I click the troubleshoot link which opens my live account in a browser, the console
then appears in the app. So, this new issue since july update basically forces manual entering of IP regardless of having automatic connect being checked and it requires opening a browser window with my MS account before seeing console on network. These are
two extra and unnecessary steps compared to how it used to work. Any suggestions?
