the messages on the Xbox app have been broken since the last update please fix

no smartglass or app needed....

i just opened the message old school straight from my xbox one and the redeem click was working too.

this is happening to me too but I found a way to still message, if you go to the box that makes a new DM you can search the person you want to DM and you can dm them

 

Same problem for me. 3 days since your post and no response.....

Sorry to hear about messaging trouble. Can you please clarify what happens when you try send an Xbox Live message? Make sure your phone and app are updated to the most recent update, if you haven't already.

 

everything is updated the whole app works but messages just get stuck with unlimited loading sign then it freeze crashes and restarts running on iOS iPhone 7

 

Same exact thing for me, but iPhone 6+. It's been 2 weeks and no fix. I have a cheap Windows 10 tablet and it works fine there.

To start things out, can you head over to account.microsoft.com and make sure all of your information is correct and up to date? Be sure you have a phone number added to your account Our team is aware of some trouble with messages on the Xbox App, this may
help clear it up.

 

Same I've been using a old windows phone that i dug up

 

with my experience from Xbox Support, it takes a while before they solve the problem

Sorry to hear you're still running into trouble with the Xbox app. Can you please share the version number of iOS you're currently running?

 

I am still having this problem after verifying my phone number and uninstalling/reinstalling. I'm using an iPhone 7+ on iOS 10.2.

 

They keep insisting the problem is with the iphone. I use a 6 plus. I loaded the app on my work phone, a 5S, and the same problem. Both are up to date with the latest ios.

 

It can't just be the iPhone, as the website is screwed up too. I assume there are people at Microsoft smart enough to understand that, as it doesn't seem Xbox Support does. We'll talk for 15 minutes about the problem, and then I'll be asked "so you're
saying the problem is only with the phone, is that correct?" and I just throw my hands up in insane frustration. It is obviously an issue on the server side with our particular accounts.
