Xbox app message notifications not working

I uninstalled the app and installed the Xbox Beta App instead and it now works. Good luck.

Check if the background activity is allowed foe the app. Otherwise it will refresh only when you open the app. For constant notifications, like what you have for instant messaging apps like Whatsapp, you need to enable background activity for the app.

Maybe it is an ios problem on other os it works fine...

The Xbox App does not appear in the Background App Refresh menu. I am not sure why, but that crosses this off the list.

Are you not getting push notifications or is it not showing you the icon inside the app to let you know how many new messages you have?

Hi! For my iPhone what's worked for me sometimes is i'll double tap home button and completely close the app and reopen and it'll work sometimes, other times it's just the app not working and ill try the next day and it'll work fine. For notifications I've
had to go to settings and check allowed access for the app.

I have notifications allowed for the app, and I have tried everything in your message. Nothing works.

Sorta the same, on Note 9.

But all my settings (in the app and in Android settings for the app and notifications in general) are correct and stay correct. I simply do not get notifications from it.

Even in app the messages will not update unless I manually refresh the messages page or open the conversation with the person I was expecting a message from or know there is one from cause the notice popped up on my TV but I don't want to open the Xbox menus
and risk timing out of my GTA session. Rockstar is brutal with that minute and a half timer... lol
