Xbox app login issues on windows 10

Hi,

I have trouble logging into the xbox app on windows 10 . I am using a local administrator account for my windows 10 laptop. Every time I try to login into the xbox app it gives me a network error error connection , even though i have an active internet connection.
There is no error code . I tried reinstalling the xbox app. I tried resetting the xbox app from apps & features advanced settings. But none of them solved the issue for me.

I have tried everything i can find online, but none of them worked for me. Help would be appreciated.

it's possible there is some computer restrictions that's causing this issue. Are you running the latest version on Windows 10 with the Creators Update? If you sign into your account as opposed to the local user/admin during the login phase of Windows 10
does that change anything?

I tried creating a new microsoft account on my windows but when i try to login into that account it asks me to be online for he first time for the login. And the same issue again, I have an active internet connection. I cannot login into that account during
the windows 10 login phase. And I don't have the creators update.

Thanks for the details,

The problem with the Built-in Administrator account that you're using is that it automatically bypasses the User Account Control settings and this is required for running the Windows Store Apps including the Xbox App.

You need to Enable the User Account Control (UAC) option.

On your Windows 10 machine

Open Control Panel / User Accounts.

Select the Change User Account Control settings.

The Slider should be set to the 3rd option from the bottom.

After you make a change, select the OK Button.

Try that and see if that takes care of the issue. Let us know!
