    I had trouble with the Xbox app so wanted to try to reinstall but now I'm trying to do a fresh install the installer crashes every time I click on 'install'. I've tried re-downloading the installer several times with no luck. Anyone got any ideas why the
    installer might be crashing?

    Ok, that's super helpful. First time I'm ever seeing this event log, but I did find these 2 errors that I think are the key. Question is, how do I fix them?

    Did you check the system and aplication event log? maybe some erros messages.

    How to open the Event log;

    Press Windows+R to open the Run dialog, enter eventvwr (or eventvwr.msc) and hit OK

    Could be a firewall, antivirus, or connection issue.

    If you can, try to temporarily disable firewall or antivirus and then try to redownload or install.
