    Dear MS team,

    my Xbox app including Game Pass on Windows 10 doesn't show installed games anymore (all spaces just flashing grey), it doesn't let me install new games, installation queue never stops looking for updates and I can't change the installation folder. Settings says "There is a problem with your installation location. Try again". Before that I downloaded about ten games without problems, didn't change anything about the system.

    What I already tried from other tech posts:

    - logging out and back into the Xbox app and MS Store, repairing, resetting, re-installing both apps

    - deleting and reinstalling GameServices by Powershell

    - checked for newest Windows updates and drivers

    - checking my ssd integrity (nearly brand new, no problems)

    - checking and resetting my network stuff and router

    - rebooting Windows many times

    - deleting all temporary files, multiple times

    I assume I know what the source of the problem is: Before all of that, I tried to download the game Hollow Knight. Just about 40mb into downloading, the download stopped and strangely didn't continue no matter what. I tried cancelling the download but the app didn't react anymore. My XboxGames folder now has one specific sub folder I can't delete, not even as admin or by CMD. Even if I un- and re-install the Xbox app the corrupt folder either remains or reappears. I bet anytime my account logs back in, it still tries to continue to download the corrupt game.

    Now one recommendation was to simply ignore the stuck Xbox app and to just download titles from the MS store. Well before I used the Xbox app I only used that until something similar happened. I tried downloading Conan Exiles and at one point it just stopped downloading. I managed to cancel the download of the main game, but not of one DLC included (Regional Specific DLC). Even two weeks later it still is in the installation queue, with a message "there is a problem on our side" (paraphrased). Not possible to delete/cancel that, not possible to start any other download.

    Any idea what to do? How can I delete the XboxGames folder with corrupted files, and my MS Store installation queue?

    I understand that you're having problems with your Xbox app game installation and it seems you have exhausted all the troubleshooting steps.

    It is possible that your Xbox and Gaming Services apps are corrupted. The only best option now is to have you perform a reformat on your C: Drive where your Windows was installed then install Xbox app. Make sure to back up your files before you proceed with the reformat.

    Don't worry, I have already encountered the same issue a lot of times and this step will fix the error. Please take your time and let me know if it works.

    It has prompted me to install the Gaming Services again and seems to have installed fine.

    Hi im on Windows 10 and i tried nothing exept changing the download folder for now since its the only game i got on the Microsoft Store. By the Way i think my Windows Apps folders are completely corrupted or something because i can't put them back as the default download location.
