  1. Xbox App Game DvR "Your PC does not meet hardware requirements to record" Error

    Here's more information Imgur

The bcast (GameDvr) has my integrated GPU selected as it's primary dependent when it should be my Nvidia GTX 970m GPU but the Xbox App utilizes my Nvidia not the cast.

  3. No prob ask them if there's a way to make it so bcast gets set to my nvidia because it's grayed out. I tried right clicking the exe from the win32 folder so I could set it to run on my preferred gpu but it doesn't do anything but load the command then fail
(By load the command it'll show the blue circle which means command was acknowledged, afterwards it will go away with no changes being done even after it was requested).

I did an SFC a found some corrupt files and fixed them with a DISM restorehealth, still hasn't fixed the issue with the dvr, I tried reinstalling windows 10 pro and that didn't do the trick either. This has got me thinking it's an APP related thing. I'm
apart of the preview program so not sure if that influences anything but also I did delete the xbox app via powershell and reinstalled it with no avail.

Hope all this information is going to be of use.

  7. So @BroHammersley it's been around 1 year now and there still has been no response regarding this issue that is still occurring. I've tested a lot of things in that time.

I've reinstalled (clean installation) windows 10, 3 times. I've disabled my integrated GPU (Intel) and ran it solely. I've uninstalled and clean installed my GPU. I've disconnected my GPU once when checking my motherboard. I've ran error/disk checks. I've
contacted Nvidia as I spoke to support who told me to contact them; they told me (Paraphrasing) "Microsoft support needs to do their job". I've scanned for hardware changes. I've made my Nvidia control panel run at maximum performance everything. I've tried
overclocking my laptop. I've hooked an Alienware Amplifier to my laptop. I tried looking into my registry via regedit. I've updated my PC consistently. I've checked for updates with Dell.com. I've sent my laptop to Dell. I've ran error checks with dells system
check. I've ran a System check (the one that scans to see if your hardware is working properly). I've spoken to customer support where I was ping ponged (being sent back n forth) by both Windows 10 support and Xbox Microsoft support. I've searched threads
you know the ones that Microsoft has ignored for two years (based on creation date) who has people having the same issue with still no resolution. I've updated to the new creators update. I've factory reset my PC. I've deleted the xbox app from my PC via powershell
    and then reinstalled it.

SO! What more should I do? I keep trying new things and yet I have not received a concrete answer from either Microsoft xbox or Microsoft windows. The best thing is with the new broadcast function I'm not able to use it via gamebar but I can use it via shortcut.
You may think well you can use the shortcut for recording right... WRONG, unfortunately it doesn't work telling me that my PC doesn't meet requirements. A little refresher my PC is an Alienware m17 r2 which has a GTX 970m GPU with 3GBs, 16 GBs of ram, solid
state/1 terabyte HDD, and is an i7 core processor laptop. Randomly one day I was no longer able to use the recording function.

Graphic card apparently supported - can't use DVR to record

Sorry, should have said. In the settings under Game DVR it says "This PC is unable to record clips" and when I open the game bar, the record button is grey and when I click it, it says "Sorry, this PC does not meet the hardware requirements for recording
clips." I doubt it's my laptop seeing as I have an i7 3630QM, 6GB RAM and the graphic card in my OP.

your PC does not meet the hardware requirements for recording

    Hi,

This only occurs in older machines with graphics hardware that does not support real-time video recording.

    What's your PC spec?
