Xbox App Game DvR "Your PC does not meet hardware requirements to record" Error

One second I was able to record then out of nowhere I'm no longer able to. I keep getting an error that I don't meet hardware requirements when my GPU is a GTX 970m / Intel (r) HD graphics 4600 and I have 32GB of ram + 1TB /256 msata SSD in this laptop.

I've tried uninstalling it via powershell, signing out, restarting my PC, checking for updates, checking files with SFC, uninstalling my GPU and then reinstalling it with a clean install, and lastly speaking with MS tech support/XBL support who both told
me to go back to one another.

XBOX APP ON GT 610

Hi,

The Xbox app has it's minimum hardware and software requirements. Game DVR on Windows 10 supports GeForce GT 610 which means this is compatible with the Xbox app.

If that doesn't work, can you please report this issue from the Beta version of the Xbox App so we can investigate this further? You can download the Beta version of the Xbox App from the Windows Store .

Yes I can say I have tested this already and will report this via Xbox beta.

 

I've got a bit more information for example my current app is update 15.15.22005 and when I go to the DVR app it says "The parameters are incorrect"

Did you have a chance to report this via the Beta version of the Xbox App? I took a look for any feedback submitted, but was unable to find it. If you did report this, did you by chance use a different Gamertag, or recently change your Gamertag?

Yup, I am currently experiencing a similiar issue. ASUS R7 370 / AMD A10-7850k

 

@Brohammersley I sent a report no necessairly feedback as that refers me to the xbox feedback site which has no thread for me to do so...

notice it says my PC doesn't meet requirements yet i have a Nvidia GTX 970m GPU

 

It's weird when I was randomly able to record one day then within that same day while trying to record a video I'm no longer able to record the video even though I didn't do anything to my computer via updates.

 

Hi Maxwell, To report this issue please go to your store on your PC and searching for "Xbox App Beta". Download and install the beta version then launch the app. Located on the Left NAV bar you will see a happy face, click on it and select "Report a problem".
This will allow you to submit a report with logs to help us out.

... I've already done that as stated above? Here I thought a message was going to be "Hey Maxwell we fixed the issue try recording now; if problems persists let us know" but unfortunately it seems it wasn't the case

Yeah I kinda assumed that'll be the case as I saw another case which was the same as mine where after months on in the problem still wasn't solved. I'll assume the problem won't be solved till next year as it seems based on that thread.

 

I just reset my PC and the issue is still present, which is unfortunate but expected....
