    Hi,

    I have a PC which is shared by my family members. My kid has a Microsoft account she uses for loging in, and her account is linked to my account as a family member.

    I suscribed to Xbox game pass for PC with my account. I can install games for my daughter on her account by loging on the Microsoft Store, so that's no problem. Then, she can launch the Xbox app with her own account and play the games I installed, but when
    she wants to play an online multiplayer game, this game denies her account and she's only able to play offline.

    If I log to the Xbox app with my account (the main account with the game pass subscription) the game allows online multiplayer mode, but the problem is I don't want to allow her to use my own account for that.

    So, there is a way to play online multiplayer games with a family linked account on Xbox for PC, if that linked account is not the account game pass subscription is linked?

    As things are at this moment, it's a hassle to switch accounts every time a new game needs to be installed, and in top of that, gaming online make things worst because it's only supported on the main account and not on the family linked one.

    I can understand the Store needs the main account in order to install games and apps, and it's fine, but I think that any linked account must be able to use the online and multiplayer functionality of the games once they are installed by using the main account.

    Xbox play anywhere HELP!

    The standard sharing features apply to Xbox Play anywhere, which means, if the Xbox console you're playing on is that family member's "Home Console", then you can play it.

    If you want to play it on a PC, it's a bit more complicated.

    The family member has to make sure, you are a member of the family on
    https://account.microsoft.com/family    .

    Also, the family member has to have an account on the PC you want to play the game on.

    Then you will have to sign in with your own account on your PC and have the family member sign in with their family account on the Windows Store app under your account.

    There they can then download and install the Play Anywhere game that you want to play which is on their own account.
