    Xbox app for Windows 10 not working


    When I open the xbox app on Windows 10 after a few seconds it will freeze and not let me do anything. I want to know if anyone else has this problem or how to fix it

    Thank you for your reply. Xbox Accessories App is only available on Windows 10, you need to upgrade your system to Windows 10 for you to download the app. If your Hair Trigger is still not working after upgrading your system and installing Xbox Accessories
    App, we would suggest that you contact the developer of the game.

    Xbox app for Windows 10 not working

    Try resetting the app. Go into Settings - Apps, then scroll down and find the Xbox app. Left click on it once, then click on "Advanced options" and the reset option is there.

    If that doesn't work, try uninstalling then reinstalling the app. Sadly that can't be done through normal means, so you have to do it via a Powershell command. Right click the start button and choose "Windows Powershell (Admin)" then copy and paste
    the following command into it and hit enter: -

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage

    Once the process has completed, close Powershell then open the Store, search for "Xbox" and reinstall the app.

    If you still have no luck after doing that, maybe give the beta version of the app a go, which you can download via the Store.

    Which app are you talking about. If it's Xbox or the Xbox companion app on Windows 10, just right click the icon of the app, and select uninstall (only works on latest version of Windows 10)

    Hi, I've attempted resetting the cache several times, and it hasn't worked. Downloading the app still takes days, and at one point I downloaded the app successfully but it was broken and could not download or play Sea of Thieves.

    Hi McGrizzle,

    sorry to hear. Please try first to reset the store cache like this:

    1. Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the
      Run
    2. Type wsreset.exe in the box, and click OK or press
      Enter - this reset the Windows Store cache.
    3. When this is done, reboot your system for the changes to take effect.
    4. Try to download again via XBOX (Beta) - if it fails try it via the store.

    If this does not fix the Problem, download and try
    "AppsServicesTroubleshooter" to repair with the Store related services and the
    Store.
