Xbox App for Win 10 Not Starting

Hello all,

I'm having an issue with my Xbox App on W10. It won't start. This all started a couple weeks ago, it just crashed one day and never wanted to start back up. What it's doing is, when I click its .exe, the window opens and displays the Xbox logo, but that's all it does for about a minute, and then it just closes. This occurs even after reinstalling it completely. I'm really unsure as to what caused it, and I don't know how to troubleshoot it.

Any help here would be appreciated.

I did before I even thought to make a post here, and I reinstalled it, it gave me the same result.

Please, run the PowerShell as an administrator.

Open the Start Menu, type "PowerShell" in the search bar, then right-click it and select "Run as Administrator."

Another method is to press Windows+X to access the Power User Menu and then click on "Windows PowerShell (Admin)."

And try again.

Get-AppxPackage *Xbox* | Remove-AppxPackage returns the following error after attempting its process:

Remove-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073CFA, Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80073CFA)
error 0x80070032: AppX Deployment Remove operation on package
Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_1000.19041.3636.0_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy from:
C:\WINDOWS\SystemApps\Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_cw5n1h2txyewy failed. This app is part of Windows and cannot be
uninstalled on a per-user basis. An administrator can attempt to remove the app from the computer using Turn Windows
Features on or off. However, it may not be possible to uninstall the app.

Checking Turn Features on and off shows nothing to do with Xbox.

Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage returns no response at all.

I am sorry to hear that.

Please, follow these steps to uninstall the XBOX App from your PC:

1) Click Start, type Powershell and run as administrator.

2) Copy the commands below and paste them (individually) on the Powershell window.

Get-AppxPackage *Xbox* | Remove-AppxPackage

Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

After uninstalling the app, try running a cleaner application to fully remove all the files.

CCleaner is a very good option, but choose the one you are most comfortable with.

Then, restart your computer, then install the XBOX app, and try again.

Have you tried to uninstall it via the "normal" means?

Press the Windows Key+X > Applications > Search for XBOX then click on it and select uninstall.
