Xbox app for PC won't Launch

Hello everyone,

I have a lot of issues with the Xbox App lately. Every time I restart my PC the app is broken, it won't launch unless I reinstall it. The problem is that if I was downloading a game before reinstalling the app, the game won't launch when finished downloading.

You can add to that various crashs with other game store apps since the last Windows 10 update and freezes during a restart of the PC.

Is there anybody with the same problems ?

I can also confirm this issue exists. The app will launch fine if "Launch app in the background" is unchecked, but will not launch (or at least not show the tray icon) if it is checked.

This issue is not fixed. "Launch app in the background" is not working, the app is not launched at all and thus is not visible in my system tray after boot.

I think that the problem lies in the app.

I installed the app on two other laptops and I found there's a problem with the app.

On both new installations, the app launches without problem if the check box launch on the background isn't checked.

What I found weird is that on the two installation the information ask for "Launch Skype on the background" the installation was made on a french windows 10 version.

Then I went and uncheck launch app in the background on my english windows 10 machine and after the restart it worked.

So the problem lies on the launching of the app on the background and on french version the reference of Skype.

As you can see on the screen captures that I added on the post, the three machines are on the same app version.

I don't know where to go from here since I belive it is a bug that must be fix on a future update of the app.

Can you point me where to inform anyone for this bug for a fix to be released soon?
