Xbox app for pc not allowing me to choose a drive

i have done all this and none has worked, but i dont know how to see if im on NTFS

Make sure your hard drive is NTFS formatted, also try to install games through the Microsoft Store app.

Follow these two steps, if one doesn't work, move on to the next.
1. Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try installing the game again.

2. Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing the game again.

If the problem persists, an in-place upgrade can solve the problem. On this link, you have the necessary instructions.

Did you also do an in-place upgrade?

To check the format your hard drive is using just right-click on your hard drive icon, click on properties, and on ''file system'' it will show the type.

Unfortunately none of the proposed workarounds have helped after multiple repairs and restarts and fiddling with the settings. Infuriating.

Did you try this? Set whatever drive you want as default in Xbox App, disable in xbox app settings option to allow program pick drive before each installation. And then download game you want in Microsoft Store, not Xbox app. Must click this 3 dots next
to install button, and then choose "install on my device" or something like that and pick your PC. It worked for me and few other people.

There is a conversion app out there, but I have not tried it as it is unnecessary. Go to "Computer" on older Windows PCs or "This PC" on Windows 10. right click and the first option should be "Manage," choose that and the Computer Management screen should
come up with all of your drives. You should see the unformatted one as Online, but with no drive letter or format type to it. Select the drive then on the right side choose "More Actions" then "All Tasks" then "Extend Volume." A Wizard window should pop up,
allowing you to choose the full size of the drive as the extended volume, then formatting the disk back to a PC usable format. Hope this helps everybody.
