Discus and support Xbox app for pc, no icon in notification area in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; hi I have a problem, I install pc Xbox app for game pass pc, but I cant keep the app run in background when I close it, I check the box on the settings...     Xbox app for pc, no icon in notification area


    hi I have a problem, I install pc Xbox app for game pass pc, but I cant keep the app run in background when I close it, I check the box on the settings but nothing work,

    also I don't see the Xbox icon on notification area (also when the app is open) .

    and when I go to windows settings -> taskbar -> notification area I don't see the Xbox app to activate it. what can I do ?

    The notification are correctly activated in windows Settings , but the icon not appear (and app not work in background)

    Ps: I already tried to update the windows, the app, remove and install the app and nothing work, i also post an feedback and no answer, so plz help me

    Same here.

    And notifications do not work: I have no Windows notification from chat messages stored in the notification area when is set to not disturb. Notifications should be there as any other app do when I open notification area, even if set to not disturb.

    There are many possible reasons why you are unable to receive notifications for Xbox Live parties on your PC. It is possible that you have not set up the settings on the Xbox App and the Windows Action Center.

    To resolve your concern, we suggest that you perform the following solutions on your PC:

    Solution 1. Allow the Xbox App to run in the background process.

    1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and go to Settings.
    2. Select Privacy and click on Background apps.
    3. Make sure that Xbox App is enabled to receive notifications, information, and stay up-to-date even when you are not using it.

    Solution 2. Enable the Notification Settings on the Xbox App.

    1. Launch the Xbox App and click the Settings icon.
    2. Go to Notifications and make sure that Party & game invitations and Message are checked.
    3. You may also check other options that you want to get notified with.

    Why has the xbox console companion app not been fixed?

    Have you got the notification boxes ticked on the app? If you do not, they will not show. To check, goto the settings icon, select notifications, and tick each box you want notifications from. Once you have done that, hopefully you will get notifications
    when someone sends an invite for you.
