Xbox App for IOS- Remote Play Settings

So I've been having issues connecting to remote play on my xbox app on ios. I solved all the connection issues that were on my xbox itself. I opened my NAT, I improved the internet connection, I turned on all of the remote play features options on the xbox itself. No matter what I do, I get a 'Try again in a while; We can't connect to your console right now.' The only thing left that I can try is turning on 'Local Network' in my IOS settings. The only issue is that when I enter the setting for my xbox app, i only see three options: 'Siri & Search' and 'Background App Refresh' and 'Cellular Data'. I don't see a 'Local Network' option like everyone is saying they have on their settings list.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have updated my phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the xbox app multiple times. I'm steps away from going to my phone service provider and seeing if they can help. I got a BackBone for christmas and would hate to see it go to waste since I can't connect my xbox to play remotely.

Also, it worked all weekend and then all of sudden it stopped connecting when I travelled back home...where I was in the same house as my actual xbox.

I try to help you. I got the same problem and I think i solved it. I have this problem with iPad. My solution is:

1.Do the wifi hotspot with your phone

2. Connect Xbox and device(iPad in my case) with xboxapp to this hotspot

3. Now just try to connect as always it should pop Ask for permission to connect to local network.

It work for me. good luck !

Have you tried it on Wifi with cellular off

You need to register the console, with both the phone and the Xbox on the same local network before it will work.
