Xbox app error 0x00000001 when installing any game

Hello,

I am asking here becasue no one from the tech support @ Microsoft seems to know what this issue is.

Whenever I try to install a game from Xbox App I get that error before even the download starts.

That error is reported to be caused by an app called Gaming Services, which at this link is explained how to uninstall and reinstall through Powershell commands.

Obviously that wont work and did all the steps involved and still get the error.

An "Xbox Expert" on the Microsoft support (they call it Microsoft Virtual Agent) via chat pointed me to another link on the community where it was explained how to create the Windows 11 restore media and then proceed to reinstall Windows keeping personal files and apps. I did that, then went back on the Xbox app and I was able to install just ONE game (Broken Age) and then again, no more games I was able to install after that...... Suffice to say I am starting to get so much pissed off and I am planning to cease payment of Gamepass because I can't really play any game.

Actually I can install and play only the EA games installed through their app (but still inside the xbox app), so I suppose this issue is not of my pc but something has to do with the Xbox app itself or my Gamepass subscription/ account I don't know

Things I already done:

Resetting the xbox app via Settings

Resetting Windows store via command prompt (wsreset)

Deleting the 2 registry keys for Gaming Services

Deleting and reinstalling GAming Services via Powershell

Reinstalling Windows 11 using the Media Creation Tool, keeping personal files and apps.

I'm in the same situation as this, I cannot install anything from the XBox app. I could previously but now nothing.

I've done the same steps and performed a full re-install of Windows (10) but the same thing is happening.

When you say "Reinstalling Windows 11 using the Media Creation Tool" it's basically this tutorial, correct?

If yes, let's try to isolate a bit more the problem. For this please try:

A. Reinstall the Microsoft store and all its components. Use both methods provided by Lester

B. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily

Restart the PC and try again

C. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

D. Can be a bit odd but:

Open the Control Panel in Windows.

After opening the control panel, set the “View by” on the top-right corner to “Large icons“.

Click on the “Network and Sharing Center” option.

Here, click on the “Change adapter settings” link on the left panel.

Now, right-click on the active network adapter and select “Properties“.

Go to the “Networking” tab.

Here, uncheck the “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” option.

Click on the “Ok” button to save changes.

Then close all the windows, restart your PC and try again

E. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

You can wait a bit and try again or restart your device. That may help. You may also see error code 0x00000001 in the Xbox app when you try to install or update a game. This likely means that there was an issue with a recent Windows update.

There isn't any Windows update in the optional updates though
