    Hello,

    Recently I found a strange bug - I was playing multiplayer game on a different platform and I've had massive issues with a ping (nothing special here yet).

    I've checked task manager and one of the processes was taking all of my bandwidth (Host service: Web service - or something like that, I don't have Windows in english, so sorry if it is not correct).

    I've dug down through apps starting with Microsoft Store - it was doing nothing as it was supposed to (auto updates turned off), but I opened Xbox app just out of curiosity and guess what... It was updating one of my games when Xbox app turned off completely.

    Could you please give me an advice how to fix it?

    Hi Chris,

    I really appreciate your attempt to help me, but considering that I have at least 0.5 TB of games in it, then I don't want to mess around with it (I don't know how it works, but I guess that it have to reindex/rediscover all of the games that I have on my hard drives and it might take a while). Anyway, I would like to know what is exactly running in the background that is causing this issue (both Microsoft Store and Xbox apps have auto updates turned off, so it shouldn't be allowed anyway).

    I believe you, but I'm still worried about reindexing/rediscovering all of the games. I had issues with it before, so I don't want to do it. However it still doesn't answer my question about why is it downloading anything when the app is completely shut down and to be honest I doubt that reinstalling can help.

    Hi there Adrian welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!
