Xbox App doesn't allow me to change from C: to F:

Microsoft has released an update to correct this issue. To install the update, follow these steps:

Select the Start button in the lower left corner of the main screen and select Settings.

Select Update and Security > Check for Updates.

Select View optional updates, then select update KB5004476 from the list.

Select Download and Install.

When the update is complete, restart the device.

You should now be able to install, update and launch games.

Create a notepad file with the following name:

"RepairGamingServices.ps1"

inside the file paste this text (if quotes):

Then, to run, right-click on the file, and run as administrator. then restart windows. then you need to open the Xbox app from Windows 10 that will be warning you that you need to install an extra component for the app, accept and wait for the installation. I'm having the same problem here, my driver (C is the standart, and recently i bought a seagate external HDD and it's assigned as driver (D in my pc and the app just doesn't change the instalation from (C to (D

If it doesn't allow you to change the settings is another symptom of a problem with the Xbox APP on your Windows

Hi. I reinstalled xboxapp and follow your steps but in the xbox app were I change what hardrive I want to use there is no (APPLY) I have done it in settings in windows and there it is saved to my F:

So, I did those steps. Changed to F: Then started do download Generation zero and in xbox app it switched back to C:

I don´t know what else I should do...

i was able to find you a temporary fix.

So the problem seems to be that the default drive for new apps is not the main Windows drive. Changing it to the default drive (i.e. C:\) resolves the issue.

If you mean I should install the game in the C: drive then I've tried, but it doesn't even install. Or if you mean i should install the Xbox beta app in the C: drive, then that is also the case. I have also tried downloading it from the Microsoft store to
no avail.
