Xbox App Does not see any devices

    Xbox App Does not see any devices


    I have streamed my xbox one to my surface pro 4 before, but now it will not see any device. I can type in the ip of the xbox and nothing. They are on the same router and nothing has changed since the last time I was on streaming it. They are on the same
    subnet, so what gives..... this is really beginning to make me angry.

    Xbox Insider app -> Manage devices

    I can't see my xbox one listed in the "Xbox Insider" app, under Settings -> Manage devices.

    Does the list just not show the console you are currently using?

    Hey there Saved Patriot.

    What type of mobile device are you using with the Xbox App? If you haven't already, please try uninstalling the app, power cycling your device, and re-installing the app to see if there's any change.

    It seems to be a device problem with the app, however I can recommend trying to run the app from another device to see if the problem does not occur from this other device.

    Hi there,

    Does this also happen if it's connected via USB too? Try the USB without any batteries installed in the controller. And have you tried checking to see if there's an update available for your controller via the Xbox accessories app, or from Settings > Kinect
    & devices > Devices and accessories > then select the three little dots, to see if there's an update.

    There is an app called the Wireless Display app that is available in the store. Unfortunately, it does only seem to support Windows or Android devices. You could always try and see if it works but it probably won't. I am otherwise too unfamiliar with IOS devices to offer any other suggestions though. Good luck.

    If you disable 2-step verification, sign out, and then sign back in, do you have any trouble with sending messages then? Also, do you happen to have something other than an iOS device you can test the app on to see if it's on the side of the account or the
    app? Thanks!
    I have the app on 2 apple devices; an iPhone 6 and an iPad 2.

    The Xbox app crashed when I try to open messages on my iPhone 6.

    The Xbox app does work fully on my iPad 2 (although it does seem a little slow).

    My kids also have the Xbox app on their iPhone; a 5S and a 6plus respectively– both attached to their own separate Xbox accounts – and neither of them have had any issue with the app at all.
