Xbox app disconnecting when alt+tabbing.

If this does not resolve the error, please open a ticket with Rare - you may do so by clicking open a ticket in the link above (you will have to login to your account).

Are you running into a similar error with other game titles on the Xbox App?

Open the app, then press CTRL+Alt+Del

Go to details tab, then look for Xbox app and Xbox app services

Right click then properties then compatibility and select run as an administrator

I've experienced issues like this in the past and it usually has something to do with a background program. See if there's anything in particular that you have running when it's working compared to when it's not working. Also, alt-tabbing can cause some
inconsistencies with some games. Think back to when it didn't work, did you alt-tab that session prior to recording?

Yeah actually, I think that's the issue there, I do alt tab but not during the recording, let's say I play for 2 hours I would alt + tab out to reply to a message on discord or look up something and an hour later I would record a clip, guess that's what
it is then, thanks, but is there any work around other than having to reset my game completely when I alt + tab because usually I have to do that during a game session, if not, that's fine, just looking for any answer with that

Hey thanks for responding. My specs are:

i7-9700

gtx 1660 ti

32 gb 2666 ram

256 gb nvme ssd

1 tb hhd

500w power supply

Its a prebuilt HP Omen Obelisk and I'm pretty sure the cpu has been overclocked with this computer before it was shipped. Not sure if that is messing with my computer. Also when I say alt-tab, I mean that I press alt+tab and hold on alt to preview all my tabs. When I preview my tabs, I notice that the game runs very smoothly, yet it is only when I tab back into the game that it is unplayable. Hope that helps
