Xbox App crashes when I try and accept a party invite

Hello everyone,

When I had first updated to Windows 10 I was having trouble with connecting to parties due to the error code (which I fixed, isn't the problem) but as of the last 2 weeks I haven't been able to accept party chat invites without my app closing itself. I don't
know what could have caused it to do this.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Xbox App crashing

Recently after a windows update i notice that i would not receive party invites on the xbox app, annoying alone, but it also came with another bug...If im already in a party and someone else invites me to another party the Xbox app crashes. Making have
to open the app again and rejoin the party, making it impossible to be in a party with constant invites.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update has broken the Xbox App

Since the update, the app crashes constantly, and is near unusable. I've been able to reproduce the crash through a couple of methods:

-Any time I receive a party invite, the app crashes immediately.

-If I shrink the window down small or snap to a corner, then try to join a party, it crashes immediately.

Is this a known bug that is being addressed?

Are you trying to accept the invite through the Xbox Console Companion App or the Game Bar? I don't think that invites in the Console Companion App work anymore, though I might be wrong on that. Do you have the game already launched when you try to accept
the game invite?

No but Ive tried both the xbox companion app and the xbox companion beta app, theres literally no option for party notifications anymore so I cant accept party invites

If I understand your message correctly, you are trying to have more than one person in the same party using the same Xbox.

This cannot be done.

If you want to chat while doing other things, I reccomend the other members use the Xbox app and accept a party invite through that.
