Xbox App Crashes on Windows 10 PC

I've tried resetting and power cycling routers/modems/PC/Xbox and nothing seems to fix it. The Xbox app that comes loaded onto Windows 10 (not the Xbox Smartglass app from the store) opens and I can use everything in it fine until I view messages. Every
other tab seems to work and load content but when I click the messages tab it just force quits and crashes every single time. When I receive a message it still pops up on the bottom right of the screen for a few seconds and shows the entire message and I can
even respond to the message from there, but, if I want to open it up again or just send a message to someone else it crashes. I can send messages still from my phone and console, just not my PC. It seems my PC auto updated the latest Win10 update last night
but I can't find any information on what it was.

Xbox App generate BAD_POOL_CALLER error on windows 10

I am experiencing a weird error: when i get to the network settings section on xbox app PC crashes and the error BAD_POOL_CALLER appears, i am running on windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated

Like it says in the title the Xbox app crashes when clicking on settings on Windows 10.

 

I am having this same issue. I also get the "You've found a glitch in the system" error on xbox.com also when I go to messages.

Thank you for your feedback. That is an odd issue and I'm not aware of any steps that would resolve it at the current time. Please use the "report a problem" feature in the Xbox app to send us more data on this issue and we'll ask the development team to

This worked for me and hopefully it does for you, unfortunately chat support was unable to assist.

Any how - if you are unable to access your messages on your Xbox App or your messages from Xbox.com there is currently a system message that is on your account that can be viewed on your smart device or xbox platform. I was unable to delete it while viewing
it on the Xbox One, to work around this I went on smart glass through my tablet where I was able to delete the system message from my account. After I did this I signed out of the Xbox App on my PC and signed back in and BOOM, back to normal.

I did not have to sign out of xbox.com, i simply clicked the link for messages and it was working as well.

The above solution worked for me as well... I had a system message from 11/18.. once I deleted that via smart glass, the XBox app and website started to access my messages correctly again.

This worked for me as well. It's terrible in that Xbox Live Support can't manage to fix these issues when you contact them or at least direct you in the direction that you can resolve the issue.

Use Xbox.com to view your messages, find one from Xbox Live that says Invalid Date and delete it. Now sign out of the Xbox App on Windows 10 and sign back in. You should now be able to view messages in the app.

Thank you, it worked and the app is finally back to normal.

 

The Xbox app also received an update a few days ago which should have resolved this issue without the need for the workaround. Please let us know if you're still experiencing this by using Report a problem from within the Xbox app .
