Xbox app crashes on startup

Whenever I attempt to open the app, it displays the Xbox logo and subsequently crashes after approximately 30 seconds.

Upon investigating the Event Viewer, I found the following error message (my PC is in Italian, I hope it's understandable anyway):

I have exhausted various troubleshooting steps suggested online, including resetting the app and gaming services, reinstalling the Xbox app and gaming services (with prior removal via PowerShell), resetting Microsoft Store and reinstalling everyting via PowerShell, using GamingToolRepair, performing a clean boot, disabling Malwarebytes and even reinstalling Windows while preserving data using the creation tool. Both the Xbox app and Windows are updated to their latest versions.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists.

In my attempts to troubleshoot, I observed that when reinstalling the Xbox app using the online installer, the installation process completes successfully. However, upon attempting to open the app (resulting in a crash), the installer returns the error code 0x8027025A.

Hello, i was also having this issue and none of the fixes I've done have worked. The xbox launcher was working but then i set up a 2tb external drive and i had

to give myself admin permission to change where all new apps are installed and after i finally got all that to work the xbox launcher wouldn't open. Everything

else works just fine its only the xbox launcher and the microsoft store + all microsoft games thats doing this.

I don't have any windows 10 update available to download. I've also tried to create a new user, but the issue persists.

Hello BetaSpydog, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.
