Discus and support Xbox app crashes on settings in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; As title says, the Xbox app won«t let me go into settings, all I want to do is to turn off the goddamn gamebar and recording feature which is ruining...     Xbox app crashes on settings


    As title says, the Xbox app won«t let me go into settings, all I want to do is to turn off the goddamn gamebar and recording feature which is ruining my gameplay. Please let users turn off the automatic recording nobody asked for from somewhere that doesn't
    crash when you try to open the settings.

    I searched for hours to try to fix this, tried the beta, tried the troubleshooter, uninstalling, reinstalling, updating, rebooting, this is frustrating, Microsoft. please give us a fix.

    Like it says in the title the Xbox app crashes when clicking on settings on Windows 10.

    Windows XBOX app crash on "settings"

    Hello ,dear fellows.

    Got a problem for 2 weeks now and it's so annoying.. Windows XBOX app keeps crashing all the time when I press on "settings". Can't turn off the game DVR (fps limiter). I've tried many repairing stuff but nothing helped me... (beta version), (creating a
    new account), (commander), (uninstalling/reinstalling) and so on...

    What can I do? Can somebody help me..

    Hey there, Direnar!

    I'm sorry to see any frustrations with Game bar on Windows 10! There is a new option with Settings if

    you've updated your PC     to the
    Creators Update on Windows 10     that will let you control this feature now. You can go into Start menu > Settings > Gaming and the option for Game bar should be right there for you to turn off.

    For the crashing issue, be sure to report that through the Xbox (Beta) app. This will let the right people know of the issue to address it. I suggest having it crash first, then open the app back up to send in feedback through the smiley face option on the
    left.

    Let me know if this helps out! We'll work together to see if there's anything else we need to do. Xbox app crashes on settings :)

    Hey i did this and the problem is still the same it crashes as soon as i open the xbox app and in the settings the size of the app is showing 0 kb with data as 8kb

    Xbox One App Streaming crashes all the time

    Seems like you need to have the sync settings to "Use 3D Application Settings". As I was also using Fast Sync and it would instantly crash the streaming. I'm guessing the XBox app needs to be locked at something like 60.
    So glad I found this result in google. I've been trying to fix the crash issue for a couple of days, this helped me solve it. I limited the app to 60fps and no more crashes since :)
