Xbox App crashes on launch on Windows 10

The Xbox app crashes on launch on windows 10. Is there a fix?

Before the latest update it idid not work either, it always threw error 0x409. Now it just crashes before it even shows a login screen.

I have tried everything listed here: Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

I have also contacted the team on twitter, but they are going around in circles and not helping anything.

xbox app closes immediately after launching it

My Xbox App closed immediately after when I launch it. I search for a solution on Google. I've found this:

1. Type Windows Powershell in search box.
   
2. Right click on Windows Powershell and select Run as administrator.
   
3. Copy and paste the following command.
   
   • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage
4. Press Enter key.

This only works for a short time. I did this around 3AM (GMT +1) and redownloaded the Xbox App again and now (3:45PM GMT+1) the Xbox App closes again after launch. I never had this problem untill yesterday.

What can I do?

Like it says in the title the Xbox app crashes when clicking on settings on Windows 10.

You may wish to try using the Xbox Beta App in the meantime, to see if that's more stable for you.

For both normal and Beta, for me they do occasionally crash, but generally when doing specific things, and never during start-up.

You may also want to check the Windows 10 Store to see if there's an update you haven't installed - the Xbox App was updated in the past day or two, so go download that if you haven't already and see if that makes a difference.

The app is updated, it still crashes. How can I get the beta app?

Is there a way to reset the login information? The old error, 0x409, was related to logging in. I think there may be some bad data somewhere. Deleting and reinstalling the app did not help.

 

You can get the beta app by searching "Xbox Beta" in the Windows 10 Store. This app should work until the main app is fixed. I'm not sure what's wrong with the main app, but you're far from the only one reporting issues; the other people having problems
all reported that the Xbox Beta app worked fine, so use that in the interim.

 

I got the same problem just opens up then shuts down, mine was running fine before.

 

I'm not able to launch the Windows 10 XBOX app on my computer to play my XBOX One games. It was working perfectly this morning. I went to try to launch the app, it shows the version number at the top right of the screen, disappears and just displays a green
screen forever inside the app. I shut it down and tried again and same thing. I've restarted my computer and it still didn't fix the issue. Anyone else know the remedy to fix this issue or experienced it before? I have the latest updates for Windows 10. I've

I just updated to the latest win10 v1703 and faced crashed and my controller refused to connect and some other crap. Sadly Microsoft dont provide nearly enough information.

Anyway, my finding might help someone here, what i found out the hardway is that for the "Xbox Accessories" to work properly i needed to first start the Xbox app and login to my account. Once i did that the "Xbox Accessories" program worked. Before that
it crashed when i wanted to go to Configure page.

 

Microsoft did an Update for Windows 10 after that update BOTH xbox and xbox beta app crash right after start-up... I love how all problems users have with your stuff, it's never Microsoft fault. Keep reading off your scripts lol, it's not OUR pc, it's YOUR
software.... fix it. Quit telling us how to troubleshoot your ****-ups.

 

At least I'm not alone in this, New Windows 10 update came out a couple weeks ago maybe and haven't been able to open my app since. It always crashes upon start, don't even make it to the home screen. I've uninstalled the app twice and no luck, I've even
tried using the beta and no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't had this problem until it started a few days ago. It would crash intermittently, but now it seems every time I open it that it crashes if I click on anything. Very frustrating.

 

The app is very unstable I cannot click the message tab without it closing or when if feels like it it just closes without any word of warning it is very aggravating whenever I am talking to others and the app just closes because it feels like it.

 

I have the same problem, try to finde the cure, but nothing help. Someone have the issue of this problem?
