Xbox app crashes hard

I like to join parties with my Xbox friends but I have a PC so I use the Xbox app. The problem is that I leave it running minimized so that I still appear online and can receive invites but the odd time when I get the notification and press "Accept" it
brings up Xbox app that starts glitching out then both my monitors go black and show the no signal message. It takes about 30 seconds after I unplug and re-plug the displayport and hdmi cords for my PC to start outputting a signal again then another 30 seconds
for it to be responsive, after it recovers, Xbox app is closed, and some apps don't output audio (I'm pretty sure this is because the audio mixer I use, Voice Meeter Banana has many visual problems and is clearly messed up because of the crash.) I have only
been able to resolve this by re-starting my computer. This is very annoying when it happens, about 2/10 times, if there is a known fix it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

PC specs if these help:

-i5 3570k

-ASUS Z77 sabertooth motherboard

-16GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 RAM

-MSI GamingX GTX 1060 6GB

I had tried un-installing xbox app and re-installing it which did not help. I tried to clean boot my PC and tested it out for a while with no issues so when I booted it back up normally I went through shutting some background programs down and testing
it. When I shut down my audio mixer and virtual audio cable (both by VB audio) it stopped having any problems. I then uninstalled both of them and i'm no longer experiencing any issue so far with xbox app. Thanks for the help, it's greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to uninstall/re-install the Xbox App?

Here are steps below on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:

1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage
*xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage

4. Hit Enter.

Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

Hard reset doesn't fix it for me. Games and apps crashing to dashboard consistently.
