Xbox App crashes after upgrade to Windows 10, Can't uninstall App

I have just upgraded to Win10 and on first test, Castle Siege appeared to work OK (ver 1.14.34.0 I believe). Today the app crashes immediately on loading. It won't Uninstall, so I can't reinstall. The version number has changed to 1.14.36.0. So not sure
if this is a Windows Store or Castle Siege problem.

Get this error when trying to uninstall the app.

We couldn't uninstall Age of Empires: Castle Seige

The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit.

The error code is 0x80073CF6

Xbox Insider Hub: Cannot opt out of Minecraft Beta for Windows 10

Hi, thank you for your reply. To clarify, should I uninstall/reinstall only Xbox Insider Hub? Not Xbox Live App? Also, do I uninstall/reinstall Minecraft Windows 10?

 

Xbox deletion

On windows 10, the xbox app is installed with windows and can not be removed. You can disable the various services in the services menu but you can't uninstall the xbox app. You can also turn off the game bar.

If it's not the xbox app what do you mean?

 

Hi Seek, Are you also experiencing this issue with Xbox App (Beta)? You can DL the beta app located here:
www.microsoft.com/.../9NBLGGH1J27H or you can go to the Store app, search for “Xbox beta” and it will show up as a search result. If the issue does occur with the beta version please
use the "report a problem" in the app. This will provide helpful data for the developers to investigate. Let us know the outcome...

I don't have the beta that I know.

To be clear. Is it necessary to have the Xbox beta app in order to fix Castel Siege to work???

 

Ok, installed xbox beta. Castle Siege still won't work with beta either.

More info on existing problem:

Other Xbox games still work fine on my PC. Notice that these games open in there own smaller window, while AOE Castle Siege tries to open in fullscreen mode. Not sure if I am using the correct terms.

Icon black in my PC's toolbar and in Xbox "My Games."

Can't uninstall app either.

 

Hi Seek, Thanks for the update. You indicated the app crashed. Which app was crashing, the Xbox App or Castle Siege? If It was the Xbox App crashing, we wanted you to try the steps you were doing to see if the beta version experienced the same issue and
use "report a problem" so we can grab helpful data to investigate. But it sounds like your issue is mostly around Castle Siege not uninstalling. Are you still unable to uninstall Castle Siege? In the mean time I will report this issue to the developers for
a solution.
