Xbox App closing on PC with controller use

Please answer the following questions to assist you properly :
Is this happening on Windows 10 or 11?
Are you connecting the controller via cable or Bluetooth?
Was you able to use the controller without issues previously or is this the first time that you try to play with the controller?
If it's the first, do you know if your windows system, app or hardware component received recently an update?

And, what did you tried so far to fix this?
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

Thank you, try reinstalling the controller drivers:

Reinstall your controller driver:
Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager > search something like Xbox controller category (or similar) > expand the category using the little arrow (">") > select delete/uninstall driver

Click OK, restart your PC and reconnect the controller.

If the issue persists, reinstall/update Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator driver.

You can do it following previous steps, but now select Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator.

Can take a while, would be great to wait up to 15 minutes before trying again

Windows 10, controller connected by cable. Tried to see if there was an update to the xbox app. If you aim to the top right with the right stick, the mouse moves to the "X" to close, and if you press the trigger or select key it closes the app. Unknown how to avoid this.

This thread needs to be close and individual issues reopened.

First check to make sure your controller has the proper firmware.

Then make sure your PC has the right device drivers using the PC Xbox Accessories App.

After that return your controller

First of all, You need only one controller! The controller is assigned only to one system - if you connect him with your PC and later you would use him on your XBOX, you have to assigne him to the XBOX again and vice versa.

And second, here the APP "Xbox One Wireless Display" works only like a feed/stream of the computer display on the XBOX. It is not a full remote controll of your Computer! But you can also put a Mouse and Keyboard on your XBOX ONE, and some apps and games
support this.

And last but not least, the XBOX-App is like a full remote app,you can start and controll your apps & games via PC! Therefor you have to connect your controller at you computer.
