Xbox app, chat in game not working

Hey everyone,

My app suddenly stopped interacting with the in game chat when i want to type.

Has anyone else got this or anyone know why it might be happening suddenly since this morning?

I am having the same exact issue. I can hear in game chat, but no one can hear me. MS, please prioritize this for fix! It had worked previously, but it has not worked worked now for a long time. As a workaround, I hear that you can install the xbox beta
app alongside the regular xbox app and use the in app party chat with one app and stream with the other, but this will only work with party chat, not in game....

What game are trying to type in? For example if its Fortnite>>then you might want to reach out to Epic games.

Hello David,

Thanks for keeping us updated. Are you using the console companion app or the windows 10 (Beta) Xbox app? In the Xbox app, go into your settings > Network settings. Once there, the app will run its diagnostics. Do you get any errors or notifications from
there?

Have you tried uninstalling then re-installing the game?

Its elder scrolls.

It wont work trying to type in a few things not just elder scrolls. Like in the club as well

Hi,

I think i’m just using the normal xbox app. When I open it on my phone and go to settings, there is no option for network settings.

I haven’t uninstalled and reinstalled as its massive. It took near a day to just update it a few weeks ago.
