Xbox app - can't see games images or install games

Discus and support Xbox app - can't see games images or install games in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I can only see sad / frown faces icons rather than game images in the Xbox PC app - no amount of reset / repair / uninstalling / logging out / googling...     I can only see sad / frown faces icons rather than game images in the Xbox PC app - no amount of reset / repair / uninstalling / logging out / googling has helped me. So if I try to install any games I typically get error code 0x00000001. I've done all the google suggested ideas, reset MS Store, Powershell stuff. Any ideas?

    Hey InsideMirror48. how are you today? Hope you're well.

    InsideMirror48, that's odd. Does this happen with every account you log into?

    So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

    Then try this:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    Then do the same for the Xbox app:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    Then, try to uninstall and install the Xbox app. :)

    If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command, then you're going to open the gamepass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again :

    In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

    If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

    Hello. I have Xbox Game Pass for PC and I can install many games (like Metro, Hellblade etc.) but I can't install Dishonored 2. Actually, even I can't see install button in my Xbox app. Is this a problem? How can I fix this?

    Starfield won't launch error code 0xc000005

    Hi.

    I pay for Ultimate Game Pass and am unable to play this game, therefore I can't access it from the xbox app.

    I run as adminsitrator, have updated windows, including making an image and doing a "fresh" install and updated windows.
    I have uninstalled the xbox app twice, uninstalled the game twice (currently reinstalling).

    I can't get the Starfield.exe file to run as adminsitrator - it won't let me. I can't get the message currently as it's curently going through its 6 - 8 hour download and install again.
    I have done 5 "partial" reinstalls - deleting ALL folders from the install except the Data folder, then verified the installs within the xbox app.

    All my drivers are up to date and I can't add the game instance to my anti-virus as the game won't start due to this error.

    I have done the 2 command line actions (hence making a Windows image, mounting it etc) as well.

    I fail to see why I should continue to pay for the game pass if I cannot use it to play.

    Please suggest how I can access this game.

    Do you have games installed? Recordings of clips and images, apps? See if another type of file is being stored other than games.

    Xbox App broken game installs

    No, just the two games in question. Killer Instinct is installing fine, and I can pause it from both apps, but I also own Killer Instinct, rather than through Game Pass. Pressing the button to go to the Xbox App makes the broken install appear again in the Xbox App. I can't end the install from the Store for the two games, the 3 dots are greyed out.
