xbox app can't find my xbox one

I have my windows 10 laptop and the xbox one on the same network connected with a Ethernet cable and it seems the xbox app or the laptop can't recognize the xbox one I have connected

got my code today for xbox one but can't find the app can someone tell where to find it

 

I'm having this exact issue. Game streaming used to work, now when I try I get the same thing.

 

Same issue, used to work couple of weeks back and now get message "We were unable to connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device."

Already tried updating the app and checked setting on XBox One for streamming, no issues there.

Any solution?

I have the same issue, The app identifies my Xbox, i changed the name of the Xbox as well and the app sees it under the new name but wont connect

resetting the settings on xbox seem to help for a few days. but now, same again.

I'm having the same issue too. I used to be able to stream games on my PC, but now the xbox app on Win 10 doesn't even recognize the xbox one on my network. I checked that everything is on the same network and made sure that streaming is turned on in the
xbox settings.

This seems to be a widespread issue because I've seen it posted in reddit too. Since this is the official xbox forum, can Microsoft please look into this issue? Game streaming to PC is one of the touted features, but it doesn't work for a lot of people...not

Same here. No NAT changes were applied during the time this functionality stopped. I am able to ping the XBOX One from PC and laptop with 0 packet loss.

 

Same issue for me. It does not work with my laptop but it does work with my Surface 2. Both connected to same Wi-Fi network.

Tried with laptop xbox app v. 27.28.XXX and 28.4.XXX (beeta)

Surface have v. 24.26.XXX

 

I had this happen with the May Update to the Xbox One console while streaming. My streaming hasn't worked since the update. Running the Windows App troubleshooter only goes as far as to suggest a corrupted cache in the Windows App store, corrects the corrupt
files and restarts. Signed out of the Xbox Windows app and signed back in- This does not seem to resolve the issue.

I used to be a software and systems analyst for several major gaming companies.. this would be a Class A bug fellas. Progression breaks are bad ya'll. I would be happy to continue any discourse on this should any forum admins or Windows Staff want to touch
base on this. Will update should I resolve anything or find any relevant results.

I accidentally found the solution when I tried to install latest "Media Feature Pack" on my PC, this is the package:

I had several chat session with Microsoft support but they didn't find the problem. We tried for example:

* Checked that computers are on same network

* Downloaded latest Windows updates

* Downloaded latest Store updates

* Reinstalled Xbox App with PowerShell command

* Logged out/in from Xbox App

* Restarted Xbox One console

* Used Store App troubleshooter

These did not fix the problem which was that game streaming was not working, when pressing game streaming I always got "Game streaming is turned off on your Xbox One. To turn it back on, go to your console and open Settins -> Preferences".

i found a couple different solutions and tried them all and im not sure if these two fixed the solution together or just one of them but try changing the name of your xbox to something other than the default and i also changed my Xbox power options from
Energy Saving to instant on. Once i changed all of that, i restarted my xbox via dashboard restart option and when it came back up both my windows 10 PC and my cell phone were able to connect.
