Xbox app can't control youtube on Xbox One

    Xbox app can't control youtube on Xbox One


    I can't seem to be able to control anything inside the youtube app with the xbox app on my ipad. I can control everything else with the ipad just fine.. Anyone else has this problem? Any fix?

    Saving a paired connection with youtube on Xbox One

    Sorry @caseofbase, the pairing done between the YouTube app on your Android tablet and the Xbox One is a function implemented by google/youtube itself. You will need to contact their support to see if they have this ability.

    Xbox One SmartGlass is a separate app that can be paired with your Xbox One console for various control, input, social, and 2nd screen companion experiences (and it will remember your pairing Xbox app can't control youtube on Xbox One :), but unfortunately it does not function that well specifically
    with controlling the YouTube app at this time (YouTube is working on a fix for that).

    Still no 60fps on ONE??? Please update it.

    When will the Xbox ONE version of the YouTube app support 60fps?

    The YouTube app on Xbox ONE hasn't been updated in ages, and I can't believe after all this time, STILL no support for 60fps.

    Also, I haven't tried 4K on YT yet, but I'm sure that's not supported yet either on Xbox ONE X (or maybe ONE S either).

    Hey there, gbed!

    I'm sorry to see any issues controlling Youtube with the iPad! Do you happen to have any other iOS devices to test the Xbox App on? If not, do you have an Android device that you can test the same functionality on?

    And if all that fails, or you can't do it, be sure to uninstall and reinstall the app, then re-sync it up with your console.

    Let me know how it goes! We'll dig further into it if we need to. Xbox app can't control youtube on Xbox One :)

    It's not just a lack of support for the Xbox One Media Remote. I have a Logitech Harmony Remote that works with the Xbox One and it also doesn't work with the YouTube App. The only device that seems to work with the YouTube app is the controller. It's a
    shame since the Xbox One Media Remote works really well in other apps like Twitch,Crackle and Machinama.

    I think you can't stream to YouTube because Xbox want to support Mixer 🤔
    Then why is there a Twitch app? If Microsoft were so hell bent to only support Mixer, there wouldn't be a Twitch App. And yet, you can still stream to Twitch.

    It's really up to YouTube to get a working streaming app on the Xbox One.

    So please suggest to YouTube to create a Xbox One streaming app.

    Sorry to hear that you have this issue. but I'm sure that this is not a way to force you buy a new Xbox One or subscriba a YouTube Premium Account. Maybe is only an obsolete App that no one on Xbox team update from years and YouTube is always working and
    updating itself, maybe this obsolete app can't work with newer youtube site/protocols.
