Xbox App Audio issue on Iphone with bluetooth headphones

No Xbox console has ever used Bluetooth to pass audio. You cannot use bluetooth headphones without an adapter of some sort.

they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

What you can try instead:

Connect your headphones directly to your Xbox

Xbox consoles don’t support regular Bluetooth audio, but if your headphones use a USB wireless dongle or the Xbox Wireless protocol, they’ll work directly.

If not, you could plug a Bluetooth transmitter into your Xbox controller’s 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s a simple workaround that gets you wireless audio straight from the source.

Check if your TV (not the Fire TV device) supports Bluetooth audio

Some smart TVs allow you to pair Bluetooth headphones directly.

If your Xbox is plugged into the TV’s HDMI input, and Bluetooth audio is turned on through the TV settings, that could solve it.

Look into your Fire TV audio settings, just in case

your bluetooth headset with mic is designed for audio and talking via bluetooth, the cable that you can plug into your headset and then to the controller only enables audio not mic. lots of bluetooth headsets and headphones are the same, the option to plug in a cable is for audio only.

I'm actually working with Apple support on this now. Same issue -- Xbox One Bluetooth controller (1708) when paired to an iPad Pro 2020 4th Gen (13.5.1) causes the audio to cut out on headphones also connected to the iPad, when a button is pressed. I've
already gone through the motions with them: 2 different Bose headsets, 2 generic Bluetooth earbuds, Air Pods, and 4 different Xbox controllers all result in the same issue.

When I create the same pairings to an iPhone XS, everything is fine, so I'm assuming it's not the controller or headphones.

I'll post back when I hear more from them, in case anyone else is having the issue (which I assume they would be).
